INFORMATION FOR CAREER AND STUDY CHOICES – Individual Sessions

The Career Development Practitioner hosts individual one-on-one sessions with clients. Sessions are tailored to the client's career and study information needs. Facilitation of non-standardised self-exploration activities may form part of the session, including career information narratives, the mycareer resource toolkit, client profile analysis (CV, qualifications, subjects, work history, etc.), referred sources/databases and session feedback reports. The practitioner will make any outputs from sessions, such as resources, activities, referral letters, recommendations/plans, and reports, available to individual clients.

As the client's needs and requirements differ, the number of sessions, structure, and outcomes will be determined and agreed upon between the client and practitioner on a case-by-case basis.

Embarking on a career/study option takes time and careful planning. Individual sessions are conducted online in the comfort of the client's own space and time. We offer convenient session slots seven days a week and cater to after-hours sessions for working/studying clients. However, bookings for individual sessions are essential, and dates/times are only confirmed upon booking.

Information topics differ significantly between clients based on the unique needs they have identified for the session. Topics may include and are not limited to:

Self-exploration tasks* and checklists (non-standardised) to find passion and discover more about the self.

INFORMATION FOR CAREER AND STUDY CHOICES - Group Sessions

The Career Development Practitioner conducts group sessions with clients. Sessions are general and cover associated topics of interest to the group. Group sessions are bespoke, and career and study information is packaged around the group's purpose, audience, needs, and setting. This is to ensure that maximum group benefit is derived and that group sessions adhere to the requirements and overarching needs of the session/client. Group sessions are beneficial in both educational and work environments. Examples of settings for group sessions include (but are not limited to):

  • School career days, fairs or workshops;
  • Public/private career days, fairs or workshops;
  • Company team building, employee wellbeing or company events; and
  • Special career events (outdoor or indoor).

Due to the diverse needs for group sessions, collective purpose, intended audience, scope and needs of group members, all group sessions are preceded by a written group session proposal. Before a group booking is confirmed, the session proposal is submitted to the client as a plan and structure for the intended session. As a layer of quality,  the plan documents and specifies the proposed agenda, topics, and activities (if any) to be conducted during group sessions. It may include the venue (indoors or outdoors) and logistics for the day (where required).

Group sessions vary in nature and can occur indoors (at a conference venue, school, company boardroom, etc.) or outdoors (company team-building events, career fairs, career camps or out-of-office sessions.).

Please contact us with your group session requirements. We look forward to working with you on an impactful career and study information session proposal.
